The 1 cent Sarmiento in offset-litho
Types of paper and their first use [according to Pettigiani] and their relative scarceness:
MI 1 19.01.1936 "c" for both
MI 3 December 1939 "c" for both for the "m" version *; "RRR" for both for the "M" version. This seems to be the most scarce stamp of the P&R I
MI 5 1944/1945 "c" for both; Pettigiani also sees a "trama difuso". I have my doubt about the dates!
RR 2 July 1950 "c" for both
ZA 1 1953 "c" for both; according to Pettigiani we have 2 different design sizes. The larger one that of the "gofrado" [broken gum]
ZA 1 gofrado 1956 "c" for both
ZA 2 not in Bardi; "RR" according to Pettigiani in 1954
ZA 3 1957 "R" for both
SF 1 1946 "c" for both
The used stamps on Zárate paper are highly valued! The mint stamps were probably give-aways for stamp dealers or something like that
Here we find the Zárate to be at a mess still ....
* "M" = direction of paper parallel to the long side of the stamp; "m" parallel to the short side of the stamp.
The design types I and II are distributed as follows - although Pettigiani is not aware of them:
type I in MI 1 and MI 3 and all later papers, type II only on MI 1 and MI 3!
to be continued ....
