So far we hasve displayed several types of paper for the lower values: 1c-50c.
We have the following types of paper for them (the 45c excepted):
- Wiggins Teape, asymmetrical paper wire, parallel watermark, AЯ ascending or descending! All values!
- Zárate, asymmetrical paper wire, orthogonal watermark, AЯ upright or upside down! 1c, 10c, 20c, 25c, 50c
- Zárate, symmetrical paper wire, orthogonal watermark, AЯ upright or upside down! 10c, 20c
- Zárate, symmetrical paper wire, orthogonal watermark, AЯ upright or upside down! 25c
The last 2 types of paper are rather scarce if not extremely scarce [25c!]
How to recognize the symmetrical versions before we try to scan them :
10c, 20c have very long fibers - 10mm or even longer - at the front [the 1st Zárate has no fibers or medium length fibers - max. 5mm - at the front]; the back has visible indents - rhombos - as can be seen from the scans, no fibers!
25c has no fibers at the front and no fibers at the back! The back has a very smooth surface due to very finely ground fibers in the pulp! When I refer to visible fibers in the previous lines I mean the grooves of fibers that are no longer there, you can still see fibers that are clung together and form the solid paper mass!
What is the sheet size of the lower values Evita???
Probably just like that of the lower values P&R I! But why doesn't that get mentioned in the catalogues and why are we confronted with sheet positions for so-called plate flaws without telling us that these numbers only hold for a particular pane?
The printing sheet has 2 panes of 20x10 with margin that have ornaments or bars printed on them - at least on 2 margins of a pane and always [?] with an ornament covering the common horizontal margin!
Perforation has ONE extension hole in the top margin of the top pane and in the bottom margin of the bottom pane. The left margnis have no extensions, the right margin has the perforation holes all the way to the edge....
PabloS escribió:Rein, you show the top pane but; wouldn't it be the left half of top pane? What ask because you show are the first 10 positions of the rows.
