What about the typography plates????

Acording to Michel:
BDr von Gummiplatten = weiche Kontouren, keine Prägespuren möglich

BDr von Metallplatten = scharfe Kontouren, rückseitig Prägespuren sichtbar
I.e. gummi plates have weak outlines and NO embossing possible at the back of the stamps! Metal plates have sharp outlines and visible embossing at the back.

Is this what we observe???

The two types of plates suggestion originate from the 1946 article that Gerhard has dug up!
Gerhard escribió:

BTW, the series was very short-lived and only valid for use during a few months! Issued on 03.07.1945 and withdrawn 20.12.1945.

This is probably why so little used material is around!

The postage due stamps were also only valid in the Sowjet Zone! Although a bit longer...

All printed in typography. But using metal or gummi plates???

The surface of the gummi plates should show a particular pattern not to be confused with the pattern made by the rhombs of the wire structure!
