"DONDE PUEDO VER LAS DISTINTAS SERIES DE MEXICO EXPORTA,"
How to manage a definitive series with 14 or more subseries???
Start asking yourself whether you were around in the period that this series was in circulation?
If you were not around time-wise or geographically!
Then forget about the 14+ subdivision and start asking critical questions. The experts will certainly not like that!
Realize that all subbdivisions based on gumming or optical brightening agents are NOT VALID for used stamps or at the most to some degree. And the fact that you were not around in the right moment implies that the material you are likely to have is based mainly upon used material!
I am such an unlucky person who might have been around time-wise but certainly not geographically - living in the Nethelrands, Europe - but still interested in Mexican definitives, In this case the Mexico Exporta.
A quick analysis will tell me that there are ONLY the following relevant subgroups:
- phosphorescent coating, no wmk: #1 and #4
- phosphorescent coating, wmk: #2
- non-phosphorescent coating, no wmk, thin paper: #5 and #6
- non-phosphorescent coating, no wmk, thick paper: #7 - #8, #10 - #14
- no coating, no phosphor, no wmk, very thin paper: #3
- no coating, no phosphor, wmk, coloured fibers: #9
Being a paper specialist and not paying attention to gumming and OBA‘s, I can tell #1 and #4 apart, and I can tel #7apart. So instead of 6 groups I can happily restrict myself to 8 groups But for the vast majority of collectors who want to specialize Mexico Exporta 6 groups will be more than enough!
