On 31 January 2011 the Netherlands issued the first in a series of stamps showing songbirds. I.e. they are a series of "personalized stamps" to which you can subscribe. Of course there is nothing personalized about it! I tis just he Post Office seeking more money! The subscription will last for 3 years and every month you will receive a new stamp!

An audio pen was available for purchase – this pen “reads” a bar code which enables the particular sound that the bird shown in the stamp makes.

A similar series was introduced in 2012 but this time you could hear rock music! Dutch Oldies but Goldies!

The Audio Pen was a problem and too expensive!

A better idea was to use the Smartphones that lots of people were supposed to have!

It needed a different type of code! Yellow dots!! The Chameleon App could be downloaded first!
