Polish Official stamps not mentioned in Polish catalogues
After WWII Polish official stamps had been printed in Kraków by the Drukarnia Narodowa in photogravure first but then the production moved on to Warszawa. Two denominatiions were printed in offset-litho first in Warszawa, one a bit later in photogravure as well by the PWPW [State Printers].
For some strange reasons NO Polish catalogue has ever mentioned the offset-litho printed stamps!
The one in the middle had been printed in Kraków in photogravure with an imprint at the bottom!

The one photogravure stamp printed in Warszawa:
Already found in the Michel Europa 1967:
As the right photogravure stamp was used in 1952, one might further discuss the listing of Michel to be complete and right !?
RaTdr = RakelTiefdruck = Photogravure

Hi Mr. Rein, welcome to back.
Regarding the stamps you speak only of the Michelcatalog?
Fischer and expertise catalogs include that information.

Re: Polish Official stamps not mentioned in Polish catalogue
No,
I have Fischer 2011 and on the pages 378-379:
Wydanie III (bez numeru kontrolnego). Rtgr. = Issue IIII (without controll number). Photogravure.
I also have all Handbooks of Kiełbasa-Fołta since 2003 and there is NO mentioning of the official stamps (without the controll number!) being in both offset-litho and photogravure!
Even the Handbooks of the 1960-ies did not recognize it!!!

Re: Polish Official stamps not mentioned in Polish catalogue
That is the problem NO experts catalogues or handbooks since the 1960-ies do mention anything about offset-litho being used! Including the ones that have transcribed the information straight from the Archives [then still communist's!]daa1406 escribió:Hi Mr. Rein, welcome to back.

If you are not familiar with printing techniques you get trapped in those pitfalls....

Leonardo,
I was there all the time but I needed some fresh inspiration from stamps of other countries!
I just got back - after 7 years - to the watermarks of Poland which then in 2009 triggered me to get in touch with an Argentina expert working on Argentine watermarks - our well-known Tony!
As a matter of fact, I think I have solved the problem of the Polish watermarks NOW and I will describe this here! I have already told Otin [José Merolo] about it a week ago.
The fact that I solved the Polish problems does not mean the Polish experts are very pleased about it. They'd better accept the fact that I can speak, read Polish fluently, and write it well enough to make them understand!

Re: Polish Official stamps not mentioned in Polish catalogue
I enclose information found in the last specialized catalog of Poland that I have acquired. Podreznik Spejalizowany Polskich Znaczkow Pocztowych 1944-1999 / Basel - Gliwice 2002.
My Polish is much worse than my English not to say almost nothing, so I ask if it is what you mentioned in this post in this information.
I am very grateful for answer me and I'm leaving my personal email for any need 1958.daa@gmail.com
Regards

Re: Polish Official stamps not mentioned in Polish catalogue
Daniel,
I do have the Handbook and it is also available on-line!
http://www.phila.pl/podstrony/ksiazka/899/893.htm
There is NOTHING about the offset-litho version for the FIII [no numerals] stamps!
saludos, Rein

Re: Polish Official stamps not mentioned in Polish catalogue
In the Michel East Europe 1999 the blue official stamp in offset-litho has disappeared!
Just compare it with the 1967 catalogue:
