Hola a todos, este post deriva del siguiente post

Llamenme desconfiado, pero el sello del mundial 2006 esta agotado..... ahora me pregunto lo siguiente..... la tirada del sello fue de 300000 ejemplares, haciendo un poco de cuentas.....

-a Supongamos que seamos 10000 los coleccionistas y que TODOS hayamos comprado 5 sellos
-b Supongamos ademas que cada uno de los 10000 coleccionistas tengamos 5 corresponsales en el exterior al cual le mandamos un sello
-c Ademas cada uno de nosotros franqueo una carta para tenerlo en usado con un corresponsal del interior y recibio una franqueada

-d Supongamos que hay 300 comerciantes en el pais y que cada uno compro 200 sellos para tener en stock.

Sumando

a:-> 50000
b:-> 50000
c:-> 20000
d:-> 60000

Total: 180000 sellos vendidos

Deberian quedar dando vueltas unos 120000 sellos. No les parece un poco "sugestivo" que el sello este agotado???

Francamente creo que los numeros que puse mas arriba estan BASTANTE inflados, pero aun asi, solo se llega a un poco mas del 50% de la tirada.... Me pregunto....no habra alguien "sentado" sobre las planchas?.....y ademas.....ese "alguien" habra pagado por el restante......

Son 120000 sellos a $4 una inversion de casi medio millon de pesos!!!

No les parece raro?????? En fin....reflexion de viernes al mediodia......

You are even getting lower than I thought! 10.000 collectors???

Population of the Netherlands: 16.5 million - 400 per/square km - 32.000 organized collectors; Argentina: 40.5 million - 15 per/square km - ??? organized collectors...

I am not completelly sure I placed an estimate of 10000 but not based on any certain data. That's why I asked if someone has well known values about collectors and sellers.

The Dutch years - all non-definitives stamps of a certain year - will fetch a 20-30 euro average in the period 1960-1995. That is as long as the pre-Euro stamps (before 2002) will be valid for postage! Should that happen, the whole 1960-2001 period might be sold for an average of 15 euro per year.


There are way too many stamps on the market! The lowest printing in the 1960-2001 period may have been 800.000 stamps (1960 Welfare stamps) of which 80.000 on FDC!

There was a period the "Sellos Postales" catalogue was issued every year. Their editors should know the printing/sales details

How about the official Argentinean Associations? No archives with membership details?

In the late 1970-ies the Dutch Stamp Collectors Association had about 80.000 members, the Stamp Dealers Association had a yearly issued catalogue of which some 200.000 copies got printed - their (SDA) "official" FDC's had a printing of some 400.000!

In 2008 the memberships are about 30.000; the catalogues 18.000 and the FDC's 37.500!!!!

El cuadro de inodoro pereyra del mundial, en mi pueblo le mandaron 3 paquetes de 100 para usarlos como ordinarios, como costaban 1.5 compre varios, el problema que se utiliza mucho tambien en correspondencias, en estos dias llegaron planchas del 2004 de 0.75 para correo ordinario, este es una sumatoria al problema.-

Luis, interesante tu analisis aunque en el caso del block del mundial hay que considerar que se trata de una tematica muy difundida y pudo tener una demanda adicional de coleccionistas de todo el mundo.
En ese sentido recuerdo que hace muchos años sucedio algo parecido con el block de la revolucion francesa, a pocos dias de la emision se agotaron y el comentario era que algunos comerciantes europeos habian adquirido cantidades enormes para abastecer a coleccionistas que estaban desarrollando esa tematica. Poco despues reimprimieron y normalizaron la venta.

I think most Argentine collectors are not members of any association, so an estimate is quite difficult to make.
I think the best data we can find is:
- How many Mello Teggia catalogs are sold. As they are not issued often most active collectors buy all editions of it. I can't find a sure reference now, but i think that somewhere I heard that 10.000 catalogs were printed. And they took a long time to sell.
- How many leaflets are distributed by Correo Argentino on each issue.
- How many stamps are printed. Currently, common issues have a size of 70.000 from each stamp. Normally they remaino in stock for a couple of years, so shortage is not a problem.
So the number of collectors is well below 70.000; I think 10000 is a good estimation.

buenas....... luis estoy ordenando mi coleccion como puedo y a los golpes estoy en el 1900 y ya veo que hay faltantes en 2006 ? no puede ser ! muy bueno tu informe
