2p40 Ameghino - 2 different watermarks

As I have recently shown in the commemoratives of the period there are a lot of stamps that have 2 watermarks ....

It is not different with the definitives of that same period.

Hello Rein,

I am not able to distinguish the the first stamp's watermark (I have the same problem with your previous posts), is there a way to highlight it?

Thanks

Sergio

Hello Rein,
Sorry I didn't understand the last phrase. Any way What I am asking is, in the scan you marked with the red circles I can't distinguish the RA, as you red marked the sun can you highlight the RA?
Thanks
Sergio

Sergio,

I hoped that you would get the general idea that is the granulado is visible = either | or - in a normal upright position of the stamp = and the positions of the Sun - in this example the RA is not so clear as with the other stamps... I can find some other copies and scan them and see whether the result is better?

It seems to me that the orthogonal watermark with line of RA parallel to the long side of the stamp is quite scarce! I have found only 2 copies so far.....

I really appreciate your help, you are very patient. I am trying to understand this watermark concept but I think you are assuming I understand things I don't, I am asking you a very very basic question, is this watermark as in A, B, C or D?

Thanks

Sergio
