I noticed this error one year ago. I had not seen it before. It looks like the die lost some ink. It may be a non-repeatable variety.





Has anyone seen this error, or one similar to it?

I seem to see at least 4 different plates for the dark-brown:

thin elegant frame lines:

- for 1E1, 1E2, 1E4
- for coated 30/16

thick frame lines:

- for no watermark - witness broken frame next to "PA"of "Pacific"
- for rayos rectos

No white lines in the value tablets nor in Argentina -
