There is no chronology here!

During the 1961-1963 period the main type of paper was the Zárate paper on uncoated paper, symmetrical paper wire and a vertical direction of paper!

I.e. ZA 2!

ZA 4 Zárate paper on uncoated paper, symmetrical paper wire and a horizontal direction of paper started later - in 1963? - and was succeeded by ZA 5 Zárate paper on uncoated paper, Asymmetrical paper wire [plus lines across!] and a horizontal direction of paper.

What causes the complication is that since the definitives get printed in photogravure [1952 Evita peso values] there are TWO types of cylinder lay-outs!

- axis of the cylinder parallel to the short side of the stamp - printing lengthwise
- axis of the cylinder parallel to the long side of the stamp - printing across

it was the latter lay-out that was used for the Evita peso stamps! The direction of printing - which way the ink flowed - here was L [to the left].

For the 2p Sarmiento however it started with the direction of printing U - flowing upwards! I.e. the axis of the photogravure cylinder being parallel to the short side of this stamp! In case of doctor blade flaws the lines run vertical!

The printings with the ink flowing upwards reveal quite some plate flaws! Some easy to spot although I do not know their position!

What is strange, however, is that the same flaws do NOT occur in the stamps with the offset-litho S.O.!
There is another strange "feature" in the S.O.!
