How to kill off philately! Just issue NVI's

Poland has found a way to stop issuing new definitives! For now and for ever!
All previous definitives will be replaced by just one set of NVI's !
So far only the blue and green straight design ones had been available. The red ones were supposed to be available since June 2013, but I couldn't get them anywhere.... The ones with insects and butterflies are for registered mail only. The blue butterflies should have been available on August 16th, but no sign of them yet...
"E" is for economy, "P" for priority. The price for the cheapest is some 1.65 złoty, one of the red registered one is already above 10 złoty and as such is the highest face value issued since the money reform in 1995.

NVI means that there is no value indiciated so the Post Office does not need to issue new stamps everytime the raise the postage rates:
This seems very practical! But what about the interest of the traditional philatelist??

Poland has so far just NVI's for inland use!
How about having this set extended for international use???
Just a practical examples I experienced myself!
A postcard from Poland to the Netherlands costs 4.60 [no priority] or 5.00 [priority]. There are no stamps of 4.60 - the closest you can get is either 4.15 or 5.00. From 4.15 to 4.60 you need at least a 5gr + 2x20gr stamps which is a bit overdone for a postcard. The post office official however let me no choice! 5.00!Take it or leave it!
And yes, Poland had issued some 4.60 stamps recently but they were hardly available anywhere? Or just at the philatelic counters?

Hello Rein:
I believe that in this case the fault is from the local postal service, not the NVI. Bad design (really, really bad design) plus bad administration (missing stamps).
I do not see that the NVI be a bad thing that will kill off philately.
Regards.
Carlos
PD: TOTALLY OFF TOPIC, but what I believe that will hurt (not kill) the philately, is the Infrared Spectroscopy.
