1910 Centennial 1810-1910

The centennial series had been printed by the Compañia Sudamericana de Billetes de Banco in recess. Most of the stamps were bi-coloured, only a few values had a single colour:

3c green
5c red
12c blue
1 peso blue

Not all catalogues mention the fact that the 12c and 1 peso in fact had been printed in 2 steps! The Mello Teggia does not mention it, but includes an "inverted centre" for the 12c! How is that possible????

Kneitschel does mention the 2 steps for both the 12c and the 1 peso, but how about the 3c and 5c???

The guiding dots are not always on the same spot! And as there were 2 plates been used we should find 2 dots as well!

Not only for the 1892 definitives but also for the 1910 Commemoratives series printed in recess in order to facilitate the transfer-roll overbringing of the design on the plates special target or guiding dots had been made first in the plate:

No conocía la variedad de $1, me fijaré en el acumulado para buscar repetición de variedad.

El sello del congreso 12c, se trata de desplazamiento N(norte o superior) ya que la impresión que se efectuaba en 2 etapas, muy común en la serie la ausencia de centrado. Esto es válido para el comentario de los sellos de 20c y 30c también.

El detalle de la hoja del 3c que ingresa en el círculo lo tengo visto, pero no sé la posición de plancha para ser exacto.(alguién tiene plancha completa para buscarlo?).

El tema de los puntos en los márgenes de la viñeta, si bien no hay bibliografía que lo avale, mi conclusión es que se debe a marcas de referencia para centrar las planchas en la impresión. (marco y centro por separado).
