Peculiar comb perforations!

The Swiss stamp printing works in Bern had a Goebel reel-fed recess combined with offset-litho press!

The perforation was applied in-line i.e. on the machine directly after printing!

It had, however, a peculiar feature:

This teeth could be normal, thicker or thinner!

Germans call it an imprecision [Ungenauigkeit] or correction tooth! Your suggestion seems to make more sense! Thanks!
