Some stamps are referred to as having been printed in lithography [or Steindruck in German] while it is sometimes not so clear whether it is not typography?!

Could be effectively lithography for typography always show whitish centers pf letters, etc. for ink expands to borders accumulating more ink towards the borders of the relieves. How to distinguish between zincography and litho is very hard.
