José,
indeed "starry, starry night'!
The lenses I am talking about are quite large. The usual paper surface - the felt side - has tinier holes in it! Air escaping form the paper pulp!? It is quite characteristic for uncoated paper to have the felt side have these tiny holes! But "papel traspuesto" has the felt side gummed! The main part of the 1st Mexico Exporta series has this and Series 6! See my separate thread!
But the English papers for Mexico Exporta have the felt side coated and the wire side gummed! That is why you see all the "grooves" at the back! You showed these very well in your own thread! The coated, felt side however can either/and/or have the usual tiny holes at the front or the so-called Tizado Varioloso with myriads of tiny holes in the coating where the coating mass was boiling hot and air puffed out!!!
You should be able to check whether the luminescent "stars" come from these TV holes in the coating!
saludos, Rein
