Dichos documentos son, sencillamente, ESPECTACULARES. Me parecio estar viendo el tipico trabajo de los britanicos, sobre estudios de sus series, pero... con nuestras series! (enhorabuena a los q lo hicieron, capos grossos! )

PD1: En base a ese trabajo, estoy reorganizando un poco la info a mi piacere;
ni bien lo termine, lo comparto a quien quiera! (es lo mismo, pero "sello a sello",
viendo los datos) Igual, apenas si voy por el 2ctvos! (asi q falta muuucho! )
PD2: Fue gracias a la existencia de esta investigación que me anime
definitivamente a lanzarme a la caza de los PyRN1!

What is so shockingly laughable about the studies discussed here???? It is a terrible piece of text without didactive pictures so it demands of its readers a significant amount of abstract thinking.... If you think that is a prerogative of the English philatelist? Just why not simply write - I am not amused - should do....

I think it needs/deserves a fair discussion and even a "translation" and expansion with as many pictures as possible.

Just LOL is doing it injustice!

Or am I missing some example of a typical Argentinean sense of humor????

What was shocking was that paper... but in a good way!

It is a terrible piece of text without didactive pictures so it demands of its readers a significant amount of abstract thinking.... If you think that is a prerogative of the English philatelist? Just why not simply write - I am not amused - should do....

About the english philatelist, I just said that it was similar to the type of articles you might found in a upland goose, for example (you wont have a picture... but you certainly have lots and lots of data! and thats what I liked it!)

Absolutely! That paper is, for me, an important milestone to start doing the things the way it should be (if you read the intro of the paper, it clearly states it)

I might do that, but let me contact the authors first (its not mine, so I need to request permition) Of course, with time... as I work/study and Im used to have (from time to time) a life beyond stamps!

I wasnt joking or mocking the investigation, the faces where the type of "I really like a lot" and not "Im lauguing about"! (Im used to use a lot of emoticons... ooops! )

The 1935 5c M. Moreno stamp in several shades of chestnut brown has found its way in the catalogues in a ridiculous way represented by strange cryptocodes like 368, 368I and the like....

It seems so obvious to me that no Argentinean collector is able to explain to me the differences between the 2 [or 3?] stamps that are coded that way! i do not expect any stamp dealer to be able to tell me that either and I also can not blame them as the used stamp - should they ever find someone who wants to buy such a stamp for 0.20 - is not worth all the trouble for them to sort out the 368 and the 368I.........................

and somewhere in the catalogue is a 5c Moreno with rayos rectos! And I am not mocking nor kidding this time...

Gradually getting to recognize the rayos rectos I still think the "difusos" need a separate treatment and I think a separate thread will serve that! Plenty of images will accompany this!
