it can be accidental, a UFO flying into the press! BUT, should you find more copies of it....
Always worth publishing as other collectors may have the same flaw and think theirs is the only one! So do publish!!

Saludos,
Merlo

As the Zárate papers had TWO different paper wires - as José Merlo refers to - it is Alberto's question which one is present here!
We can have TWO options! A symmetrical wire [also called Granulado] or an asymmetrical wire [also called Rayado]! Judging by the blue lines this is an asymmetrical wire!

The small values in offset-litho have 2 sheets of 20x10 on top of each other.... The perforation runs from left to right!

Re: 1952 Eva Peron definitives
But how about the 45c in recess? There is no information about it in neither V. Kneitschel nor in S. Klass...
The stamp size is supposed to be like that oft he other low values: 24.0x30.5mm but if you pay a closer look you will find out that that is not correct!
In most cases the top teeth at the left and at the right are thicker!!

In most cases the top teeth at the left and at the right are thicker!! this occurred some 40 times versus 10 times with "normal teeth"!
Does that indicated sheets of 10x5??? With the top row normal?????

Re: 1952 Eva Peron definitives
There are 3 values of the Evita's of which the national paper [Zárate paper] has a symmetrical paper wire!
The 10c, 20c and 25c exist with this type of paper! In fact we have three types of Zárate paper here if we take the surface structure into account!
The 10c can be found with the grooves at the stamp side!

Re: 1952 Eva Peron definitives
The lower values of the Evita's [with the exception of the 45c] on imported paper - Wiggins Teape - have an asymmetrical paper wire! AKA rayado vertical!
So far the stamps with an asymmetrical paper wire had not been found with brown fibers! The fibers we found were either black or green...

I have just erased a mail I sent to Mr. Barrandegui, Celulosa Zárate´s plant in charge of lab, who never bother to tell me a songle word. Rhe aim of my mail was to be received in Zárate to asl for the existende of symmetrical wire paper at the beginning of the issue. In fact, for me that papel started being used in 1966 with the stamp for polio relief, but years later it was discovered that that paper was already in use 1n 1953 together with the assymetrical paper as demostraters stamps cancelled in that year, which are most scarce.
Concerning the grooves on the front side of the stamp for me it still is an enigma, which I expected to be solved by Mr. Barrandegui, but at no avail. Saludos,

Rein,
In your experience, how common is it to find stamps of this series with the watermark flipped sideways? (asking because I have one) Timbres
