Private Post in Poland - InPost
So far in the Netherlands we haven't seen any private enterprise with a postal concession issuing their own postage stamps. Some collectors [and stamp dealers] fear the day when we will see other postage stamps, not issued by TNTPost as all stamps are now.
In Argentina you had confronted with such a situation since 1997. Several concession-holders have issued their own postage stamps.
How did the philatelists react???

Hello Rein, is a reduced group of collectors of private post office but more than nothing of some of the two more important companies (they got to have near 1,000). I collect of Argentina and of the rest of the world and my seal collection as much whatever of envelopes fills several archivists but I do not take part in competitive exhibitions. A few months ago a sample was realised in the city of Cordova with several exhibitors to whom I did not concur but they commented to me that he was very interesting. A Catalogue of seals of one of the companies exists (OCA, Coordinating Organization Argentina) realised by a collector and financed by the company, but not more. As far as the retailers really they do not give much importance him.
You like the subject? Greetings
Alfredo

my main interest is because of the history of security printers I am in to. Security printers usually also print stamps for such newcomers. As I told you, in the Netherlands although we have new concessioneers, none have issued stamps so far. Afew years ago the Polish firm Inpost started a postal service on the basis that they could transport all letters above 50grams. They had a clever idea: providing the clients with A4 size cardboard enveloppes for a few cents OR paste a metal plate to the normal covers for free! On the covers you would have to stick their special postage stamps.
I was the first in Poland [i.e in the Polish philatelic press] to write about Inpost and set up a web page dedicated to InPost:

De todos modos, me interesaría recibir estampillas de correos privados actuales de Europa. Se que en Alemania han retornado luego de un siglo las empresas de courier y en cada país esto ha tomado características particulares. Le ofrezco un canje con ese material enviando yo a usted estampillas de Argentina y Uruguay. Saludos

Hello Rein, in Argentina the transporting companies of correspondence have not considered to the subject security in the paper or the impression, except for numbering the stamps or placing a bar code but that to them rather to be able to realise the pursuit of the letter. Anyway, it would interest to me to receive stamps of present private post office of Europe. That in Germany they has returned after a century the companies of courier and in each country this has taken characteristic individuals. I offer an exchange to him with that material sending to you stamps of Argentina and Uruguay. Greetings
Alfredo
PS: in others post can see examples of stamps of post office deprived of Argentina

Re: Private Post in Poland - InPost
Since mid November 2006 Poland has an alternative for the Polish Post - although just as in the Netherlands the monopoly for letters up till 50gr is still in the hands of the Polish Post.
InPost has found a clever way to break this monopoly by adding a tin plate weighing 30gr to the covers handed in by the customers.
Large cardboard enveloppes measuring A4 provided by InPost also helped the letters to reach the overweight. Being Pre-Paid they can be seen as postal stationery. Not just for the ordinary lettters but also for registered or express letters such an enveloppe was available. And also special Pre-Paid parcels were made available!
In the period till 09.07.2007 the InPost firm did grow quite well and managed to expand their activities to still more cities in Poland. The list at the back of the enveloppes let us know their growing number. We don't know how many different versions of these enveloppes have been made. Obviously InPost still struggles with Poczta Polska is not that keen on giving away trade secrets. We have to count on our own observations, what might be rather problematic as hardly any philatelist did know about the InPost service at all or should they have known they probably would have thrown the enveloppe in the waste paper basket. I'll try togive a preliminary listy of the postal stationery as well..

Re: Private Post in Poland - InPost
Per 09.07.2007 stamps were issued for the services of InPost. The set of stamps consists of 6 denominations: 0.20, 0.30, 0.50, 0.80, 1.00 and 5.00. All stamps have been printed in 2-colour offset-litho. The design has been kept simple and refers to the charitative support made by InPost.
At the same time, the existing postal stationery had been cancelled with a green text stamp explaining that from now on stamps have to be used instead and pasted on that spot on the cover. All pre-paid postal stationery will be valid for postage until the end of 2007. The old enveloppes but with the green stamp applied to it can be bought for just the cardboard price.

Re: Private Post in Poland - InPost
The stamps have been printed in offset-litho by the State Printer's [PWPW] in Warsaw. We don't knowyet what the size of the printer's sheet is, but the counter sheet measure 5x4 stamps, no imprints on the margins. The stamps have been perforated in a similar way as the corresponding sized stamps of the Polish Post including an ellips for security measures!
