In the period between 1915 and 1922 - between the occurence of the hexagonos watermark and the multiple sun RA we have several instances of paper without a watermark. The paper used for the 1911 Labrador set is supposed to be French, the paper used for the 1917 JSM set is supposed to be from North America or the US! Or in 1921 there is a Dutch paper without watermark involved that has several characteristics other than that of those below! The US paper is allegedly only to be distinguished from the Dutch having complete sheets! Is the a BOND controll mark in it then it is from the USA!???
Is there any proof for this ????
This paper has a symmetrical paper wire with the same density giving rhombs 3 per 4mm, the direction of paper is horizontal, the surface of the back of the stamp is rather flat, the fibers are very finely ground, the surface is rather porous and the paper has a yellow tinge.....
As far as I can judge there is NO DIFFERENCE between these two stamps as far as stamp paper goes!!!
to be continued ....
